| 665761 | 2008-05-05 10:48:00 | Just been thinking, these are the people who may be influential in a party getting in - or out, as the case may be, and not knowing anything about why or what they have done . . . Aren't all politicians this way inclined? :sleep |

| 665762 | 2008-05-06 10:56:00 | Reminds me of a definition of Democracy attributed to Sir Winston Churchill " Democracy - a government voted in by 10 wise men and eleven idiots." If the idiots don't vote it is a blessing. The problem is that someone rounds them up and gets them to vote on the basis of non-deliverable promises. The only savvy voter is the swinging voter - someone who always votes blindly for the same party, no matter how bad or incompetent they maybe, cannot be accused of being an intelligent voter. |

If Labour get in we can probably expect a tax rise to help cover Helen's excessive overseas travel budget. She most be the most travelled PM in NZ history by far. And when at home she seems to love being in front of the TV camera, breakfast shows, news, sporting events. Does she actually do any real work? |

But they are probably the same Labour voters who were targeted by last-minute canvassing in the last election to get them to vote when Labour realised they were just about to lose. |
