666195 2008-05-06 05:03:00 Wondered if Foo Fighter fans were aware of the origin of their name?
I knew about it.

How could you miss it? Some people have a chip on their shoulder. Sweet young Roddy Boy has a small tree.:illogical

:banana

That concert was one of the most epic things I have ever seen. :D

U23D was damn cool too. Highly recommend.

Then yesterday I drove all the way from Auckland to Motueka (via the ferry of course). Got home at 2.30 am. And up at 7 to go to work! :waughh:

After 3 coffees I can now think semi-straight.

I will sleep the sleep of the dead tonight! :clap

Highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to go away at one days notice, do anything that tickles your fancy, and feel utterly and completely trashed afterward.

Big ups to AirNZ, still having cheap seats left on the weekend of the foos concert. Even though I did have to get up at 5 in the morning.

Glad you enjoyed it Watt! You gonna do the mission to the Guitar Fest?

666201 2008-05-07 23:03:00 Yea, I think it's $140 for both nights. Thats pretty cool. rob_on_guitar (4196)
666202 2008-05-08 00:20:00 sing?....where?

I had to be at a rehearsal for La Boheme. Was an 8 hour rehearsal, and I sung for a grand total of about 45min. I should have just gone up. My sister bought me a ticket for my Bday, and only afterwards did we find out about the rehearsal. Needless to say, not a happy chappie.

But good to see it was awesome. I'm jealous.

Oh, and yes I knew about their name. It's interesting, and rod exploded a bit too much methinks (go and have a lie down rod). Probably Luftwaffe jet prototypes up there. They had all sorts of weird stuff. Them germans is clever.
