665747 2008-05-04 11:20:00 Just been thinking, these are the people who may be influential in a party getting in - or out, as the case may be, and not knowing anything about why or what they have done.

Bit of a worry. But then, that's democracy.

Ken

My point is that a number of people seem not to know that there will be a general election this year.

Therefore these people will not vote if they do not know there will be an election will they!

If these people do not vote then then they will not be influential at all in any shape or form.

I will cast my vote(s) when I have decided and that will be when I have seen all policies by all parties and also seen whom is on list etc.

I think that all people whom are entitled to vote should do so.

Those who don't vote still have every right to complain. A no vote can be considered a vote of no confidence in every party!

BTW my earlier comment was intended as a joke...

Anyhoo - what do the media expect if there is a blanket muzzling of everyone in an election year. Come on - was this really unexpected? The Labour party puts a muzzle on everyone and then people complain that others don't know there is an election????? ppppfffftttt

My understanding is that every no vote (don't vote) is, in fact, a vote - a vote for the opposition because it is one vote less for the party in power. So if you don't vote, you may not get what you didn't expect.:waughh:
