Art takes many forms and combined with something practical to lift the boring is commendable. Cheers, Marnie Not all art is commendable. You should see mine. Or perhaps not. I'm not all that cruel. Done it to a few old beige CRT's over the last while. 2) While a black case might affect the color a bit more, a beige one doesnt, and that blue is *really* bright in the wrong light! Must get a slightly darker blue next time! 'tis a bit of a shame really, that can has a lot of painting left in it... A matt white undercoat should be able to block out the black. 5) Permanent marker still shows through - Use new cases Three to four coats should cover the marker perfectly fine. Let us know how the new box goes. |

| 665109 | 2008-05-03 22:24:00 | Yeah 3-4 coats woulda got rid of it the permanent marker, but as-is it's already almost all gone. Lucky for me this box is just going to sit tucked away out of sight & out of mind... The blue is definitely noticeable though (And looks different in less light), girlfriend walks into my room and she says "Hey wow, whats that little blue box down there, looks very cool! Oh wait, you didn't buy another computer did you?" :D Now I'm just waiting for some parts to arrive before I get the first server machine built for one of my clients, cant wait to test it out! Will post pix when I get everything :) |

| 665110 | 2008-05-04 02:58:00 | Currently working ona buddie's work truck...he bought a new lumber rack for it and to keep his wife from finding out, we decided to paint it the same color as the old, ruined and bent one. Went to the automotive paint store (professionals only) and asked in a loud voice for some new paint with bird droppings, scratches and chips in it to hide the newness of the rack. They had a good laugh. |

| 665111 | 2008-05-04 12:36:00 | I read somewhere on a case mod site that using dye/stain (or whatever it was) instead of paint was a better way to do the plastic parts Probably not good for a test run but might be worth it if you do it seriously. Should be stuff on google, I just can't remember where... |
