666194	2008-05-05 20:48:00	Wondered if Foo Fighter fans were aware of the origin of their name? UFOs have been spotted in many different places around the world. Reports of unusual aerial phenomena date back to ancient times but modern reports and first official investigations began during the second world war with sightings of so-called foo fighters by allied aircraft crews. Apparently, mysterious objects frequently came close to many aircraft, spotted by more than one witness at the same time and reported over their radios. Interestingly, there does not seem to be any reports of foo fighters sighted by Luftwaffe crews.	Roscoe (6288)
