Does anyone have an intelligent guess as to how many PC's (including Mac's) there are in New Zealand that are currently being used. Just a rough guess, but it needs to be intelligent, ie counting those in homes and those in offices and factories etc. |

| 665408 | 2008-05-03 07:56:00 | I'd hazard a guess that there would be at least one in about 85% of NZ homes ( none in any sth Auckland homes) followed by 1 computer per student (on average) for most of your schools - some will have none and some will have a laptop per student. As for offices - it will vary depending on the size and nature of the business, Telecom would have several thousand but your local panel beater might have 1. |

Avg of 1 computer (box) pp at work, given servers, terminals, workstations Avg of 1 pp at home, given most people who have a PC have >1 PC and accounting for those who dont have a PC Just a guess, may be blindly wrong :D EDIT: From Stats.co.nz: 41.4 PCs per 100 heads at home (in 2003 so abit outdated) www.stats.govt.nz |
