802345 2009-08-19 02:17:00 Hi guys,

for those of you who may be interested... Vodafone has announced on its forum that customers can now have Interleaving set to "off" for their connections if they wish. The Vodafone default setting is "on" but you can change this by ringing the Customer Service Centre.

Apparently this is available whether you're on their RED NETWORK or not

cheers,

802346 2009-08-19 08:04:00 What does it do if you have it turned off then? gary67 (56)
802347 2009-08-19 10:00:00 It decreases your ping time. It's some sort of error checking from what I understand. pine-o-cleen (2955)

802350 2009-08-20 03:41:00 .........But.......if you are concerned about integity of data and connection reliabilty, then you may want to leave interleaving on. I've tried on and off, and not being a gamer prefer it on.

The sort of difference it made to me, leaving it on, was a reduction in DSL line speed reported at the router, from about 7800Mbps to around 7600Mbps
