802128 2009-08-18 04:55:00 Can anybody recommend a freeware programme to design a Business Card?

I’m just looking for something simple that will save the design and possibly allow a printer to copy from it.

I’ve downloaded a couple that are supposed to be free, but you can’t save your work without paying.

Seeing I only wish to design One Card that I can take to the printers I don’t see the point in spending money on an expensive programme.

All comments appreciated. :thanks

802129 2009-08-18 04:57:00 I'm guessing you don't have MS Publisher? wratterus (105)
802130 2009-08-18 05:06:00 You can do them In MS Word , open office if you have them.

Other wise a good FREE ( and yes it is free) publishing program that will do them is Page Plus SE (www.freeserifsoftware.com), or get the full version for $9.99 USA.

802133 2009-08-18 05:11:00 PagePlus is good, also OpenOffice has templates etc if you can be bothered downloading that, it's around 140MB. If you did that, go to File -> New -> Business cards and there's heaps of options there. wratterus (105)
802134 2009-08-18 05:12:00 We use to use "labels" in Microsoft word. kahawai chaser (3545)

It's in Tools/Envelopes and labels. It gives the option of several types and sizes of card/label. You will need to be sure that your printer will be able to handle them.

802136 2009-08-18 06:37:00 Thanks Guys, the job is done.

Downloaded Wainui’s tip, Page Plus SE and no problem. :)

Looks like a neat little programme.

Will still have a play with Word, just to expand my very limited knowledge of the product. :D

I knew I could rely on you guy’s. ;) :thanks

802137 2009-08-18 08:32:00 The only problem with Page plus is its not compatible with MS publisher - apart from that - its actually quite good - and the price is right :)

ALSO have a look at these LOTS of Free Templates (www.freeserifsoftware.com) to add to the program. ( even dedicated Business cards) might need to scroll up a little to see them all.
