1442035 2017-11-16 00:56:00 I been using G Mail for years, but lately I've been getting heaps of Spam about Bitcoin.
I don't want these, so I mark as spam in Thunderbird, but they keep coming back.
I've also been to G Mails online mail and mark as spam, but they still coming.:spam
Can anyone help, with this?
:thanks
Ian

1442036 2017-11-16 01:24:00 Ian, spam in GMail, Outlook.co.nz and Hotmail, nowhere as bad as ClearNet/Vodafone.

Those first 3 have a box to tick for "block", can't put up a description as I have read and deleted morning's mail, sorry.

Be interesting once Vodafone closes it's email service, used to get over 20 spam emails, but Clear is only sending up to 9 now.

lurking.

ps. don't know how others' are getting on with, getting new email addresses.

lurks.

1442037 2017-11-16 02:23:00 perhaps a keyword filter in Gmail or Tbird spam filter.

You may be able to block/move emails that contain keywords, such as 'bitcoin'

Otherwise , they should eventually just get blocked or the sender will be shut down. Then move onto the next spammer. Just they way it is .

1442042 2017-11-17 23:32:00 In your first post you mention Thunderbird. Are you opening your gmail in Thunderbird or in the Google gmail program.
www.google.com
Driftwood (5551)
1442043 2017-11-18 01:09:00 Yes if you go straight to Gmail as per Driftwood and Settings + Filters you can see your existing filters and work from there.
Alternatively open one of the problem messages, use the "more" dropdown and choose "Filter messages like this"
I suspect your issue is more with using Thunderbird, go direct to Gmail. (Can't see the need for Thunderbird myself)

Mainly Thunderbird, but also do on line.
