1442025 2017-11-15 21:41:00 My wife's laptop did an auto-update yesterday and now she cannot access Outlook because of a glitch with MSVCP140.dll Her system is windows 10 running Office365 Home

I do not use Office 385, but I do have a copy of that file in my system (a windows10 PC). The problem is that my file shows as created March17 2016 (bytes = 443712), while hers (the file that is now not functioning) is show as created Feb16 2017 with a size if 438080 bytes.

The Office365 was not loaded off a personal copy of a disc, so I cannot go back to that. It seems i can try to copy my file over hers, or try to source a working copy of a newer version of the file.

Alternatively, i could remove office 365 and replace with with an early copy of Office.

To add insult to injury I cannot log in to Microsoft. I got chased all round the place yesterday, (even asked for help frm Neil at PC Patch Petone) . Was told that the info i gave them was inadequate to prove my identity, and that i had run out of 'attempts' and have to wait for 24 hours! It is not that i have forgottem my password, they just don't recognise it (that fun was about changing my email address, a task I carried out seamlessly with more than 20 othe companies including PressF1 and IRD! But not with Microsoft! [Sorry for the RANT there!!]

Will appreciate any help, especially in relation to the dll file!.

TFYH

Graham
