XP = very old , so could be anything including faulty hard drive viruses faulty hardware eg video card try msconfig and disable startup items one by one uninstall any crap sometimes
at this age a reload is needed to clean out and start again see how annoying it is when its just one long sentence makes it hard to read .

1441904 2017-11-16 10:59:00 The most likely culprit is the power supply.

I had a PC doing exactly the same, especially in cold weather ... it just turned on, turned off, turned on repeatedly until it warmed up enough for the faulty capacitors to stabilise I guess. A new power supply cured the problem.
