1441741 2017-11-08 18:40:00 First, some info:

Older Intel Pentium 4 CPU
3 . 0GHZ x 2
64 Bit
500G hdd
Ubuntu 16 . 04 LTS
Firefox 56 . 0 (64 Bit)
Canonical 1 . 0

Problem:

The first time I open a FF browser/page at start-up, I get a notice the "Firefox has blocked (something-or-other) from loading" or words to that effect .

I don't want to reboot everything right now to find the exact words . . . . but that's about what it said .

You get it ---- right?

I then click on the "ALLOW BLOCKED (something-or-others)" box and FF runs normally for the rest of the day - or until I reboot or start up the next day or so .

How do I stop that blocking-thingy?

I looked into FF Preferences . . . . there's nada there to change this default setting .

1441743 2017-11-08 19:09:00 Could also be your AV causing the problem.

I suffered a similar fate for a couple of months with FF, due to Google having "flagged" a site with supposed malware. :(

I have since dumped FF, which I have used for years, and now use Chrome.

I see those yellow LEGACY add-ons and wondered about them .

I may have a few too many AD-Block things running .

Ad-Blocker for YouTube
AdBlocker Ultimate

I already disabled the other two: Ad-Block and Banner Blocker for YouTube .
