Login to gmail , via a browser(webmail) to make sure the email is actually being redirected
Not much time left to sort it out if it doesnt work. :-)

1442442 2017-11-27 22:41:00 Mine is forwarded to Gmail. When I hit reply I can only send the email from my Gmail and not from my Clear.Net. I have gone into settings and set my Clear.Net email address as a default reply address. Still no help.

Advice?

Cheers.

Cheers . That's exactly what its meant to do . The old Clear . net options to send /receive have been disabled once it gets changed over . Simply select the new gmail as the default send/receive .

Also has the effect of automaticly letting people know your new gmail address.

1442445 2017-11-27 23:33:00 Ok ... so one does need to use a different email address then. They shouldn't continually use the redirect feature. I was thinking when it was the news people who had businesses had to reprint their business cards. If they don't reprint them after the first email the reply email address would be different anyway ....... Nomad (952)

If they don't reprint them after the first email the reply email address would be different anyway . . . . . . . In "theory" since Vodafone are redirecting the old email should continue to work . BUT As I have told everyone, as well as its been mentioned earlier in this thread, tell people that you want to stay in contact with, as well as any new stationary to use the new email .

Sooner or later I fully expect Vodafone to turn off the forwarding as well . IF and when it happens , no one knows .

Personal opinion- I give it a year .

1442447 2017-11-27 23:58:00 wai something of interest this day, have had 3 that's three Overseas Genealogy Companies ask me to change my email address from Clear. WOOOW not many Companies in NZ have been that forthcoming, but I suppose we are such a tin-pot outfit and think we are old enough to do it on our own.

Must be that nanny state we are run by, rofl.

C'Mon NZ coys' pull finger!.

Ps. have linked my GMail a/c to Outlook.co.nz and seems to working ok.

I already setup the gmail 1 month ago and changed most stuff over. Done the fwd one day ago, no sign of any "forwarded" stuff as yet but it does say up to 3 business days.
