| 1442935 | 2017-12-03 04:14:00 | Thanks Walone, but the point of the padlock or better the cable tie is to know if someone has actually been into the case, it's not to prevent aviation Security getting in or seen as a foolproof security measure. | Ofthesea (14129) | ||
| 1442936 | 2017-12-03 10:12:00 | I know what you're saying and I have no issue with that. The point I'm trying to make is, no matter how many padlocks and/or cable ties you have, those are not going to stop anyone with a mind to doing so, gain access to your (zip closure) case. And because it is just as easily closed as it is opened, you're not going to know anything has happened. So think of the potentially compromising question "Mr/s Ofthesea, do you declare you have packed this bag yourself?" Unbeknownst to you someone has slipped contraband or illicit drugs (worst case) into your bag, and you've just stated you packed the bag yourself. Or say a partner intent on retribution has slipped some totally embarrassing item into the bag. Again, you've just stated you packed the bag yourself - and therefore have total responsibility for anything found in it and will be held accountable. Just beware, that's all. |

And no-one (other than baggage handlers) touch the thing bewtween me doing that and arriving at the destination..........so ex-partners, random people? How? |

Shappelle Corby blamed it on the baggage-handlers, so using WalOne's technique, anything is possible. |

Ken I worked at AKL airport as a refueller for Exxon and can tell you that our handlers are just as bad as far as throwing and damaging baggage. It was not always like this as low paid immigrant blacks have replaced Kiwis in the companies contracted to do the job. I have told them off when I saw them doing this and they just shrug their shoulders. Blame the government for letting these low life into what was once Gods own country. |

Attitudes have changed in my lifetime, now its more self centered and not give a crap about others. |
