1442430 2017-11-24 00:07:00 So explain how a business not connected to Vodafone is supposed to know if a Vodafone email address is being forwarded or not, without asking everyone? That's my point.

There will be many who either leave it to late, didnt test/check forwarding was actually working, or just didnt know . Even some of the notifications have been blocked by there own
spam filters :-)
and there are reports of some voda forwarded emails just being bounced or rejected by the new email address

Its a good thing that businesses are checking their customers that still have voda/clear etc emails as the contact.
As above, dont rely on voda's email forwarding, notify your bank, friends, customers of your new email adress.

Most have been good on advising us, but, ANZ Investments are a bit of a "prick", have to phone them, whaaaat tf, have already cashed up bonus bonds and this was no small amount either, so they had better watch out, there are other NZ banks.

Will phone their 0800 no. and hope I can remember all the user/passwords for that, National Bank now part of ANZ, you can't help but swear.

1442432 2017-11-25 02:24:00 That's actually incorrect.

When you sign up witit will pay to change email to people you want over a period of time, because sooner or later I expect Vodafone to stop the forwarding as well.
)

That's my point!

1442433 2017-11-25 02:50:00 Yes but they have not ( as far as I know) actually said they are going to stop in the future. "If" they do its any ones guess, could be 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, who knows. If people cant change an email after that amount of time then they need to get someone to help them.

Waiting for next week -- last minute changes, or as 1101 points out, some will leave it to late and miss the deadline.

Either way as long as Vodafone are notified by the 30th the forwarding will continue till they say otherwise.

1442434 2017-11-25 05:53:00 They will probably lose a lot of their paying customers if they don't carry on sending on as they have stated in their email to us. Lurking (218)

1442436 2017-11-26 23:35:00 If forwarding is set up, but what happens when you change the new email address ......Not Vodafones problem, it's that way now. Lets say you have a gmail account, and decide to change to outlook.com or some other email, you have to advise people whom you get mail from.

Guess you can call them and ask to change again.

Probably wont loose that many . They would have crunched the numbers & seen email is not worth the effort & accept loosing some customers .
Just long term previously loyal customers . Newer customers would mostly be using gmail etc anyway.

1442438 2017-11-27 04:29:00 Yes 1101 loyalty means damn all today.

As I mentioned previous, we have had GMail, Hotmail and Yahoo for yonks.

PC mechanic thought Outlook.co.nz would be the one to change to and we have.

lurking.

ps. never liked Vodafone backing the no hope warriors, perhaps they got wind of it, rofl.

lurks.
