| 1441515 | 2017-11-03 13:16:00 | To get around the static IP's for the Xbox units connecting via wireless you could try using DHCP reservations for each of the Xbox units. This will give each Xbox the same DHCP reservation address... kinda like a static. This can be done from the DHCP options on your router, you will need the MAC address for each Xbox which you can get under Settings in the Xbox. Also have you tried connecting just one Xbox at a time to the network to see at which point (i.e. how many Xboxes are connected before the issue occurs) Assuming of course it only happens with multiple Xboxes connected. So maybe try... Add a DHCP reservation for each of the Xbox's Disconnect all Xbox units from the wireless network. Connect an Xbox to the network. Try to play a multiplayer game on the Xbox. Login to your router and see if the connected Xbox shows up in the routers uPnP list. If not see if you can add it to the list (usually via IP address followed by the port number in use). Some routers actually have a pre-configured rule for "Xbox" which you can just enable as well but dependent on the router. Repeat steps 3 - 6 for each Xbox in the house there are 3 possible outcomes. The issue will persist right from the start with just a single Xbox. The issue will persist when there are multiple Xbox units connected (i.e. 2 or more) The issue will be resolved. Good luck! |
