1441403 2017-10-31 05:47:00 Your attitude towards your Windows 7 computer stinks! It really pisses me off when people use technology without finding out how it operates. In the case of your computer, if you had bothered to keep the AV up to date, and made a system backup you wouldn't have the problem. If you had auto updates turned off, then enabled it, Windows would take ages to catch up, especially if you had not installed Service Pack 1. mzee (3324)

1441405 2017-10-31 06:02:00 Don't stop asking for help Beetle. Backups are a good idea though. Good to know all is now well. Ever thought of going to Windows 10? So much better. Bryan (147)
1441406 2017-10-31 06:24:00 This sounded like an issue I came across years ago, where an update was corrupted and you had to delete the offending update so that it would get downloaded again. Hopefully MS has fixed these issues by making sure that updates are verified/checksum before attempting to install. Kame (312)
1441407 2017-10-31 06:29:00 I do do back ups to a external hard drive. just cant recall the last one i did......... a lot has happened in our world lately.......pc has not been on priority list

My computer knowledge is irratic yes. I am no saint, I dont come here very often anymore,
but I have only had 2 pcs in my entire life that are mine. solely mine to care for and operate......... this one is 2012 made win 7 ,
and the one before that was a 2005 model XP. they both still go. so i really cant be that bad.... just ill informed i guess.

I had no idea a programm i used regularly was going to screw up ........ and royally for me.......... :D

thanks for your input everyone.
Have an awesome evening,

Wow.
Just as well you aren't running a business like Wainuitech then.
What a nasty attitude.

And that helps doesn't it, ranting at people.

Whats it to you? You don't have to sort it for her.
