I doubt we will ever really go back to the days of "how now, brown cow" but a lot could be improved. The e's often become i's and i's can become u's. As in hip pronounced as hup. Pronunciation can differ a lot between South Islanders and North Islanders and even various areas within each island. Who worries how someone from Lancashire speaks, compared to someone from Yorkshire? I know my Lancashire born sister-in-law doesn't. On that note....have a Mirry Chrustmus everyone.:devil |
