| 1442873 | 2017-11-30 17:45:00 | I see Netflix allows you to download their content (instead of streaming). But it requires Windows 10. I've only got 8.1 - is there ay way around this restriction? | Greg (193) | ||
| 1442874 | 2017-11-30 20:14:00 | It's a bit of an annoying feature to be honest, and is only available in the windows 10 app not via a browser as far as I can tell so the only answer I can see is upgrade to windows 10 while you still can.... Why is it annoying? because the pop up telling me I can download stuff comes up every single time and I have to dismiss it before using the app. That's just irritating, maybe there's a fix I don't know. Also the app is buggy, often crashes on two of my PCs but works fine on the other. Quite often you get all the way to hitting the play button then it comes up with an error saying the content is not available. Then you log in with a browser and watch the same thing anyway. Needless to say I normally use a browser and ignore the app. On the other hand, the android version works perfectly. I have used it to take a couple of movies with me on a camping trip and that was pretty cool. Windows apps really seem like poor 3rd cousins compared to other platforms, a lot of times you either can't get them, don't want them, or they are buggy as hell. Lucky for us normal windows programs still work just fine. I'm normally arguing for windows 10, I like it mostly. But when it comes to their new apps, the Edge browser, Features I can find no use for (cortana anyone..), and now the fall creators update.... Anyway that's a bit of a side track so lets stick to Netflix. |

That's true across all platforms. I took Tucker and Dale vs Evil camping with me. They also have 2 quality options so you can choose between small size or good quality. |
