Once, ex-DIL put her deceased cat in the freezer for later cremation. They accidentally knocked the plug out and forgot about the cat.... We came along months later, and OMG, just as well husband has no sense of smell. And he had to get it out with a shovel.....mostly sludge. That was the end of that freezer too. |

If it was safe the survivors would have turned around & gone back in . |

There was a long portal into the actual mine and there could be bodies along the length of it. Remember, there were two survivors who were in that portal and managed to get out. |

Hindsight is easy , some years down the road. There are plenty of examples of rescue teams dying in mines. What if that 2nd explosion happened when a rescue team was in there ? Remember, its the she'll be right , ignore any safety concerns that got the men killed in the first place. They actually knew the mine was unsafe . Did we learn nothing , thats how it seems. Some seem to want to ignore real risks & send more men in, to achieve nothing . |
