| 1441497 | 2017-11-02 01:56:00 | Over the past couple of weeks we have been experiencing quite annoying problems with Skype, namely the sound quality of the voice transmission, it sounds like the party is gargling and trying to talk at the same time. The effect is both ways, ie incoming voice and our transmitted voice. It is certaily not the Computer, in every other application, sound is just fine, be it catch up TV, or plying a CD, or You Tube - sound is just fine. Any ideas as to the possible cause and cure. I asked MicroSoft a Couple of days ago - like writing to the dead letter office. Thanks |

In my case it's caused by his poor internet connection speed, it's good enough to play an online game and talk on skype at the same time but if anything else is happening it's almost impossible to have a conversation. We both know it's his end and it's easily proven by him disabling everything else and skype clears up. I have fast fibre so I have bandwidth to spare, but if one or both of you has a slow connection that's probably the cause. |

| 1441501 | 2017-11-14 08:30:00 | The problem seems to have cured itself for the time being, I note our NBN speeds have picked up a bit, not quite so much buffering, so I guess it is a National Broadband network problem. There have been massive numbers of complaints about the NBN. Telstra are being forced to make refunds to thousands of customers who they sold an NBN service to at higher speeds that just cant't be anywhere near delivered. There has been heaps of hype on the NBN, but the performance is falling well short of the hype. |
