667453 2008-05-09 01:02:00 When I brought my old man's new car back from Auckland on Wednesday, I filled up in Browns Bay, from bone dry it took 41 litres.

Not trying to drive economically by any means, overtaking etc etc all the way, it got to Wellington, via SH1, around Wellington and then to Upper Hutt, and the fuel light came on just as I was leaving Upper Hutt for the ferry. Now thats economy.

1996 Nissan Sunny, 1.5 Manual.

667454 2008-05-09 03:18:00 41L? Most cars have a 50l tank or 60l tank. pctek (84)
667455 2008-05-09 03:21:00 Thats what you'd think, and yes, I never said that was the size of the tank.

Either the car only has a 40l tank and the extra litre was up the spout..., or it's a 45l and the fuel gauge and light go way below the E line.

It's definitely not bigger than a 45l tank though.

Not like it really matters.

He didn't say it had a 41l tank. My Honda Civic has a 45l tank.
