667283 2008-05-08 09:21:00 I last used one 38 years ago, so I wouldn't know.
I want to know if it is safe to plug a 20watt light bulb into a 'shavers only' socket

I hate the idea of shaving. It is so unnatural.

667286 2008-05-08 10:43:00 Real men shave with straight razors, anyway. Takes commitment and makes up for the unnaturalness of it. Deane F (8204)
667287 2008-05-08 10:53:00 It's such a waste of time too ssssss (2100)
667288 2008-05-08 11:12:00 My razor appears to be about 7 or 8 watts, but that is on air shaving, no whiskers are being harmed. R2x1 (4628)
667289 2008-05-08 16:49:00 as an electric razor has a motor it'd draw FAR more power than a 20w light bulb..... drcspy (146)

The ol' lighter does the trick quite nicely...

667292 2008-05-08 23:13:00 IIRC a Shavers only socket supplies about 60 watts of power.

Try plugging a lamp with a 100 watt bulb in = dim.
60 watts = 90% of brightness (IIRC :p)
