| 802737 | 2009-08-20 04:29:00 | Hi, Running Vista OS and the dvd player on my laptop, has suddenly stopped working, actually haven't used it for a few weeks. When I put a disc in,no matter what type,be it a dvd or cd,all I get is the message...insert a disc. I go to dvd properties and it tells me it is working properly.I did a driver update, but has the latest drivers. What I did notice,is the program I have called CyberLink DVD,has expired, could this have any thing to do with the problem. If so,what others are there available. | 802740 | 2009-08-20 04:59:00 | so would it be just a matter of getting another that fits,or does it have to be soecific to the laptop,( which is an Acer), or am I better off with a usb one. Hook |

| 802741 | 2009-08-20 05:39:00 | It will be standard. You can grab one with a warranty off Trademe if you want, they are dead easy to install if you know your way around a notebook. The hardest bit is normally changing the faceplate. www.trademe.co.nz |
