| 668200 | 2008-05-12 01:37:00 | Hi robbyp, ta for the quick reply. That was my second spam e-mail for the year! I now realise what would happen if i was getting 15 a day like yourself. On average do many other PC forum folks get high numbers of spam e-mails? Thanks for the info, cheers BobM. You're pretty lucky to only get 2 for the year. Most of my spam is automatically filtered a number of times by different systems so I don't automatically see it, but I do go i to check it from time to time to see if any legit emails went into it. You will find that many people do get a lot of spam, but many people don't see it, as it often automatically goes into the Junkmail folder, and the only way to view it is to log into webmail. The spam that does often get through the filters, is often NZ spam that hasn't been reported to the antispam databases, |

| 668201 | 2008-05-15 09:50:00 | For anyone interested, it seems to be a information gathering site. Probably gathering for marketing purposes? If you google the first part of the link xtzone.net. The first entry is for a site exactly the same as the link in the email, the last search entry shown is to an information registry called tastereports.com. Also googling proid= brings up interesting list of suggestions. From a site called choicepoint.com which sells certain monitoring software to a site called proid.ch, which is an indpendent swedish IT company, whose sole owner has a diploma of "Statistician Economist" from the ENSAE. Could be all coincidence........ | draqoni (13736) | ||

However the second highest hit was a surprise ... all I can say is R2x1 has done a lot of chatting in the chat forum this last week according to what it says. ;) You think Humbler Upla emailed people whose name begins with "K"? Look how many new members in this thread whose username begins with K? :D |

Perhaps we regular posters should be called "K Listers" Ken  |
