803554 2009-08-23 09:32:00 You asked a question and I answered same to the best of my ability.
What was the point of the question you asked?

Just to remind you:-

What part of the offer is advantageous for you?

And to remind you of your post.

"Fortunately I have a legal copy of Office 2007 Ultimate anyway which I bought and paid for before the latest offer which occurred after I became a Student.

This means that I could take advantage of the offer but why would I?

I guess the only advantage is that I have a legal copy and I did not have to download the same. I can also reinstall same when or if I want to."

Sounds like saying you have a copy and why should you have to put up with downloading something.. oh the superiority.

More like I already made the MISTAKE of paying for a full version when I could have waited if I had foreknowledge that the price would come down for a student.

And of course if Microsoft had advertised in advance that you could get Office 2007 for far less than I paid then I may have waited.

At the moment we have no definitive answers as to the price of Win 7 in New Zealand.

I have a copy of Office 2007 but if I had waited I could have got a copy for less than I have already paid.

Now do you see where I'm coming from? And may I ask what is superior about making a mistake? And why would I download another copy of the same software at any price?

803559 2009-08-24 21:46:00 Enterprise has Office Communicator (office.microsoft.com) - Ultimate doesn't.

And naturally all the Uni students are gonna be *pissed* their Ultimate edition doesnt have Communicator ;-)

... or not!

But anyways I thought I'd try downloading the Office 2007 Professional trial (I've already got it, but still), and even though it says the download is only for US peoples, I still get this:
Attached file: Office_Professional_trial_download.PNG (www.imagef1.net.nz) (198 KB)

Sadly thats my WiFi speed at home slowing it down now .. :p

Nathan, great to see you lurking around the forums here, helping out like that. Excellent stuff mate! :)
