What is your privacy setting set to?
Sounds like it is public.

668193 2008-05-11 09:26:00 I'd wager that we don't hear from the "long time lurker first time posters" again, but now thanks to Google, Humbler Upla will be forever linked to Press F1, in fact it's the only place you'll find his name on Google! Jester (13)

It shouldn't have really been posted on the forum. I mean people receive spam messages like this all the time, so why post it on here? It is best to complain to the ISP that it was sent through, which you can get from the header IP of the email.

If you recieve a spam from NZ, you should also submit it to http://www.antispam.govt.nz/

Would you be suggesting that members of this forum are not warned of any spam mail whatsoever? Could you suggest of some way to alert members as in the past? Thank you .

Spam is spam, and you will find that most people here would be able to easily tell a dodgy email from a legit one . Most of the people who have posted a reply to your post, would be those who recieved the same email, after doing a google search, they aren't pressf1 users .
Also our anti spam software on our computer will detect it and mark it as spam, and you are able to report it as spam inside your spam software, which is the best way to report spam for overseas based spam . Honestly if everyone was reporting spam emails here, it would be totally full of spam reports . I get perhaps 100 spam emails a week, and do report the NZ ones to the link above .

668197 2008-05-11 19:21:00 The email said it was from oldfriends.co.nz which im on but my profile was set to friends only...

Same here except my oldfriends email is different to the one I use here and it arrived on my oldfriends email addy, which is only a hotmail so no big deal. My oldfriends has always been set to private

668198 2008-05-11 23:31:00 I got a random email yesterday at 6:51am from this Humbler Upla saying 'LolinaGive me change'. Sounds really weird and it sounds like I'm not the only one this Humbler person is emailing. Lolina (13735)
668199 2008-05-12 01:12:00 Hi robbyp, ta for the quick reply. That was my second spam e-mail for the year! I now realise what would happen if i was getting 15 a day like yourself. On average do many other PC forum folks get high numbers of spam e-mails?
Thanks for the info,
cheers BobM.
