802829 2009-08-21 03:20:00 I use creative myself at the moment.

I am curious as to why no person has asked yet what sound card is being used or how many speakers are needed or what inputs etc.

802830 2009-08-21 04:19:00 I don't know how long Logitech have been making PC speakers for but I know Creative have been making them since 1998 when I bought my Creative SB Live sound card, so I would also check out Creative speakers as will. Yes having the right soundcard speaker combination helps as will. The soundcard and speakers I use now were used on a previous computer I had and they sound completely different to what they sounded like on my old computer.

802831 2009-08-21 06:10:00 Thanks everybody.

I presume you are saying that I will need a good sound card to get the best out of these X530 Logitech speakers. I suspect I will need a new one.

Will I get the best possible sound quality if I plug them straight into my Sony MP3 player?

802832 2009-08-21 08:26:00 Does anyone else have issues with the X-530 and washing machines? the speakers make a popping noise when its running.Great for playing sounds and gaming though. sk69ersnz (13476)
802833 2009-08-21 08:39:00 why is your washing machine anywhere near your computer? Unless you were washing your speakers? hueybot3000 (3646)
802834 2009-08-21 08:45:00 It's in the basement,miles away from my computer.Dodgy wiring maybe. sk69ersnz (13476)

Get yourself one of these to stop electrical noise and surges coming through your computer (not good for it :badpc:).
Or you could make yourself one by putting one of these

in a box, with the necessary hardware to interface it with your power cords.

802837 2009-08-21 11:43:00 Logitech X-530 (www.computerlounge.co.nz).

You will not be disappointed.

You probably would be if you compared them to something of actual decent quality

Sure they're not *bad* but you could do much better

802838 2009-08-21 20:10:00 All you people recommending Logitech have you ever used any other make of speakers to compare your statements with.
:)

Yes.

There are better speakers out there, but Logitech are good, and good value.
