670320 2008-05-18 05:35:00 I am interested to find out the general feeling of members on the upcoming US Presidential elections.

There are 3 runners at present, John McCain, Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama.
Who do we favour?

Is Clinton going to be able to reserect her campaign and beat Obama to the Dem nomination?

How do we feel about a woman or an african american sitting in the oval office?

670322 2008-05-18 05:47:00 US of A always gets the best president money can buy. The amount they spend on campaigning is obscene!!

They obviously need Helen's lot to draft up some cool legislation that will confuse matters even more.

670323 2008-05-18 05:53:00 Obama.

He's an American. Race and Gender shouldn't matter (I know they do but they shouldn't)

670324 2008-05-18 05:57:00 Sorry, they will just have to struggle along and sort it out for themselves. I decline to decide for them this time. ;) R2x1 (4628)

670328 2008-05-18 09:32:00 Well I can vote in New Zealand and I intend to do so.
I do not live in the USA and therefore my opinion would be ignored.

670329 2008-05-18 10:02:00 Obama, Osama

Even worse for him, his full name is Barack Hussein Obama. I suppose people will see it more as a quirkiness since Hussein is quite a common Muslim name (anyone see the recent dig by Colbert at Bush's remarks in Israel (watch.ableapp.com), funny stuff).

I'm sure Obama will do well in the elections, unless of course there's any nasty surprises (watch.ableapp.com).
