670250 2008-05-17 22:34:00 Did anyone else notice that PressF1 and PC World were down? All other sites worked fine, so it's not my PC. pcuser42 (130)
670251 2008-05-17 22:41:00 Yes- was down not that long ago... somebody (208)
670252 2008-05-17 23:54:00 It wasn't the only site I couldn't access, two or three other local sites were a bit shaky, using two different computers and two different ISP's with modem swaps as well. R2x1 (4628)
670253 2008-05-18 02:09:00 Yep, same here. Was down at 8.30am today and was working again at 12pm :)

I couldn't get to fairfaxnz.co.nz, so it might have been something to do with the servers Fairfax manages

670254 2008-05-18 02:25:00 I believe they host their website in their own bulding, rather than at a datacentre. Therefore if there is a problem at the building such as loss of power or telecommunications, it is likely to go offline. Datacentres on the otherhand have redundancy systems in place. I have found it is one of the more unreliable websites I visit. robbyp (2751)

Maybe the clock was having a time-out for slacking.
