2008-05-14 19:03:00 | Does any one have, or access to, the fault codes for a Kelvinator 2 Smart drive 601 by Fisher & Paykel? Need to identify a fault before I consider throwing it out. TIA Tut

2008-05-14 20:36:00 | Kelvinator still makes washing machines? I only get their ranges, stoves and ovens when I Google for the fault codes. F&P doesn't even exist here in the States. Some Kelvinator stuff is made for Sears and for GE..the greatest names in product prostitution! Sears won't even talk to you unless you sign on the dotted line and grease their palms first. GE stuff has so many monikers that even they aren't sure what they have out there. I'm still trying to find parts for a DiLongi flash 5-gallon electric water heater that was bought out by Bosch, then Renault and went back to Bosch again.

Don't forget Joe that names like Kelvinator, Frigidaire, Hoover, Bendix, etc have been international for more years than is imaginable :) F & P had the license to manufacture Kelvinator and Frigidaire appliances and use the brand names from way back, long before they designed and made their own whiteware . |

2008-05-15 00:41:00 | My bro lives in San Jose and he has F&P whiteware bought locally . We HAD them here for a very short time . . . but they all wound up at Home Depot for 1/3rd price . They just didn't have what the US market wanted in product, reliability or name . I suppose there are warehouses full of them somewhere in the Ozarks . . . somewhere . . . An anthropologist in thousands of years from now will find them and think that we looked like that . . . as there are so many statues of us . :banana

2008-05-15 01:33:00 | Actually the had the license to rebrand them, they didn't manufacture them. ????rebrand Kelvinator as Kelvinator what on earth do you mean ????? "In 1938, import and foreign exchange restrictions forced the firm to consider manufacturing. Orders were sourced on the basis of a mock-up and production of Kelvinator washing machines (under license) was commenced." www.businesshistory.auckland.ac.nz
