| 804383 | 2009-08-26 05:04:00 | Have wireless access to my home broadband connection with my own laptop but now wish to connect my work laptop to the same network. Only problem is that I can't remember my security key to give me access to my wireless connection. Is there some way I can easily reset the old password or read the old password off my old home computer 'without wiping it'. Help greatfully appreciated. NT |

| 804385 | 2009-08-26 08:37:00 | If you enter your wireless modem/router via you browser on your home computer you will get it. Just to add to that, here are the steps 1. On a connected PC, go run>cmd>ipconfig Note down the default gateway. 2. Open your browser, then type that IP you noted down as the default gateway and hit enter 3. If it asks for a username/password, try admin with no password, then admin for both username and password. If this fails, search your manual for the default username/password or ask here(quote the router model no.) 4. Enter the Wireless section and note down the key. Cheers Blam |
