| 804239 | 2009-08-25 20:40:00 | Hey all, I'm trying to build a new gaming desktop, and I have around $2000 to spend. I first went to new egg, and built a great desktop, with a I7 Intel quad core, GTX290 and all that awesome stuff. But then I found out NewEgg doesn't ship to NZ. So then.. I go to NZ sites that are like NewEgg, and the processor is like $1000. So can some people please give me some advice for making a good computer that will be able to run all games on high detail? I tried places like PCUnlimited.co.nz but there selection of items is quite limited. |

For $2000 you certainly won't be getting the latest graphics card and a core i7 CPU. Take a look at computer Lounge - they have a selection, look at what your budget can afford, or keep saving. Computer Lounge is one of the reputable places in NZ to buy from. Stick to reputable. |

Agree with the others, with 2k you aren't going to get high end parts. But even mid range stuff is still pretty adequate for current games. | utopian201 (6245) | ||
