I have a Vista Home Pre HP laptop and Im wanting to partition my hdd so I can install another os on it, but when i go to disk management, right click on my C volume, and select shrink volume i can only shrink it 11376MB. Im wanting to allocate half my hdd to my other os but i only can do 11GB |

| 804078 | 2009-08-25 08:03:00 | sorry for replying late hdd is 250GB and its 22.5GB full also I just have installed a fresh copy of vista so i havnt put my data (documents etc) back on so all thats on my hdd is the Vista os and hp software |

| 804081 | 2009-08-25 09:52:00 | The reason it cannot go any further is because there are important system files that are unmovable there. I suggest you backup your data before you do anything. And keep your Vista CD handy, you may have to perform a startup repair if you are unlucky! Blam |
