803590 2009-08-23 11:42:00 Reinstalled XP Pro and installed all downloaded device drivers, everything went smoothly; but when I checked the device manager, there's a big yellow '?' says 'High Definition Audio'. Why? Have installed the Audio drivers and the sound is working fine. What's the story about? I'm puzzled. bk T (215)

803596 2009-08-23 13:52:00 Well it must be one or the other. or you've installed the wrong driver Speedy Gonzales (78)
803597 2009-08-23 20:28:00 When you installed it, the Windows wizard would have popped up right? Did you then switch to running that? Cause you should have just ignored it. pctek (84)

Don't remember what I did.

What shall I do now? Have tried to uninstall the audio driver and re-installed it but the same thing appears. Or, just ignore it?

803599 2009-08-23 22:17:00 Out of Interest - Where did you get the drivers from - they are meant to have the AC97 (Intel High Definition Audio) - But looking on the Asus Site, both USA and UK - cant actually see the model. wainuitech (129)
