Referring to the assassination of Bobby Kennedy during the June primaries and drawing a not too subtle reference to the American sport of offing their presidents and would be candidates? I think it's a cheap, flagrant and derisive shot by her trying to incite murder . Here's my take on it all: Hillary was trying to say that she can still get the nomination as late as June or July like her husband did . . and the Dems had their final caucus in July in the year because of the RFK assassination . Ya gotta remember that right now her electability factor is pretty low . She needs some controversy . . . but this was the wrong thing to pop off about . Because it didn't come out that way . She has steeped coals on her own head for this slip-up . . . if indeed it WAS a slip up . I think she shot from the hip and blew her own rump off . But the Clintons seem to wear Teflon underwear . . and this will all blow over . Know this: Her husband didn't get his nomination late in July anyway . He only had to wait for California's rally to finalize it, but it was a shoe-in and a foregone conclusion that he had it all wrapped up 'way before the California Democratic nomination . . . . . so . . . . she has prevaricated on this point . Ya see, California had it's Democratic party nomination rally in July that year because it was just the way it was done at that time . . . the RFK murder didn't affect it much or any at all . That has changed and California . . . . a really BIG state with a lot of votes is not running in the last heat any more . . . . . so even on THAT talking point, she is weighing wombats against 'roos . . . they don't coincide at all . Like all politicians, they're lying if their lips are moving . She has opened the festering wound of that assassination, now almost closed by whole Kennedy clan . . . and haven't there been a few of those! It sounds like she is trying to whet the appetite of some assassin to go after Obama . . . doesn't it? But . . . as much as I say these things, I am just watching the circus here and paying attention . Custer should have paid attention too . |
