669754 2008-05-16 10:07:00 damn, thats a pretty good video. Had to bookmark it, I didn't even realise how many galaxies had already been discovered :S That last image is amazing, over 10,000 just in that single image. Deathwish (143)
669755 2008-05-16 13:36:00 One thing they don't till you is the area that Hubble took those galaxy shots from was no bigger than a postage stamp or smaller.

What does that even mean? How can a 3D body of space containing billions of light years in all directions be smaller than a postage stamp?

And you think my posts are a waste of time. Honestly, read the stuff you write sometimes.

669757 2008-05-16 23:55:00 I rarely look at videos as I am on dial up. But I had to try this one. Superb.
It took ages for me to be able to see the thing of course.
Having downloaded a video - I don't know where it resides and is there any way I can copy it.
All suggestions welcome.
And please Metla get rid of the swastika - it isn't funny and causes a lot of us older ones a great deal of distress.

I've mirrored the MPEG-4 (H.264) version of this on my webspace. This is an alternative and will need to be downloaded again unfortunately, right-click here (stash.ableapp.com) and save link/save target to download to your desktop or similar.

You can also preview it online here (watch.ableapp.com).

669759 2008-05-17 01:18:00 btw, the above is just an alternative to hunting in the web browser cache for YouTube (FLV) clips which is moderately easy but varies from browser/platform to browser/platform. sal (67)
669760 2008-05-17 06:33:00 That's kind of you Sal.

Well put, Trev. But give him time. He's only an adolescent as you rightly point out. I'm told it's the first forty years that are the hardest and he's only halfway there, so don't be too hard on the young lad.
