| 805179 | 2009-08-29 21:33:00 | I have pc around 2002 model bought from TM (trader since disabled) its a Cyclone with a Intel Celeron sticker on it. Think from memory its got 512 mb of ram. Sorry dont too much more without pulling the case off. XP is Professional and kosher have cd. Problem is now on boot up it gets to XP splash page and Intel splash page then goes to a black screen with safe mode and start windows normally page options. Have tried every option there but it reboots back to same page. Just a cycle of black screen of death. PC been running like a trooper for last 3 years its in my kids room and they been downloading games so its probably something my offspring has done.. Any help would be appreciated by my kid who is severely hanging out to play his games. |

| 805183 | 2009-08-29 21:57:00 | No On boot it just goes to this black page if you leave it says windows starting after a countdown but it just goes back to the same black screen. It will keep doing this forever in a loop if left. |

Should I go to Mt Eden computers and get another motherboard? |

They dont sell socket 478 mobos now, AFAIK. If that mobo is a socket 478 mobo Even if you get another mobo, do you have an XP cd?? You may have to reinstall windows on it |
