| 805053 | 2009-08-29 05:03:00 | Edited: just noticed - you say HP = Home Premium --- Home premium DOESN'T support XP mode ( I know I tried it) :0 Windows XP Mode will only run on Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate editions Original Reply: Yep - its because it looks like you have not installed the first part - have a look at the two files - one the KB and the other Actual XP Mode, Download from here (www.microsoft.com) -- The first part is the KB you are having errors with ( look at the KB number) - that HAS to be installed first (make sure you get the right One, 86 or 64)- then I reboot, THEN install the actual XP mode. |
