| 804807 | 2009-08-27 07:08:00 | Hey, I have a dentist who currently has a dual monitor setup, one for the computer and the other is on the chair so that the patient can be shown x-rays, photos etc. They currently have it setup in dual-view mode so that the main screen is the primary and the one on the chair is the secondary. When they want to show the patient something they have to drag the window across to the secondary screen and then drag it back when finished. This is a pain as it is hard for the dentist to control/see the mouse pointer on the secondary screen when they are sitting in front of the computer as it is about 2.5 metres away. They don't want to use clone mode as they don't want the patient to be able to see everything on the screen all the time. Is there any software available that gives you more control of a dual monitor setup? In my head I see something that would install on the system and then perhaps put an icon on every window next to the Minimize button. When you click this button that window shows up on the secondary monitor in full screen while the primary monitor stays as it is so you can click on the icon again to stop showing the window on the secondary screen. The secondary screen could just have a black background when nothing is showing on it or perhaps the dentists logo and contact details. |
