2008-05-22 09:34:00 | john key needs a good roasting (note deliberate non-capitalization), Helen has stood the test of time. And it shows. I was surprised at how ill she looked recently in an interview. I can't see her being PM for another term, even if they win.

2008-05-22 10:26:00 | john key needs a good roasting (note deliberate non-capitalization), Helen has stood the test of time. I'm amazed how well she's stood actually. Watch while all her colleagues get flamed for any mistakes made, all the while she's untouchable. Do you think that if there was any dirt on her at all it wouldn't be all over the news by now? She's an awesome prime-minister, and if she was a he everyone would recognise this. Instead she's called unfeminine. I'd rather have an unfeminine, incredibly competent prime-minister than the alternative. Inhumanly competent actually, all they've put to her is someone driving her fast...

2008-05-22 10:28:00 | A john key is a means of entry to an executive crapper. The last person to properly make use of said crapper was also a national MP. Remember Muldoon. He took a steamy one on us all. Lets see if JK won't do the same.

2008-05-22 10:58:00 | WOW, few Labour supporters here then... I have to say I am surprised how much you like Helen?, I happen to think she is truly awful. She has had you chancellor grab money from tax payer left right and centre for years with no tax cuts, throw money at the health system only to employ overseas doctors who botch jobs, crime rate soaring and much more. The only good thing I can say about Labour is their Working for Families is a good idea, however if they taxed less in the 1st place we probably wouldnt need to be beneficaries... And I dont understand the quibs about JK, & National. Judging before he has done anything? Labour has had a fair go with 9 years. They are playing the voters again with last minute tax cuts, sure the intectigent posters can see thruogh that. Oh, here's a good one for you...you do all know the HC has her eye on Kofe Anan 's job dont you, the last 6 years she has been passing bills to put her is good stead in the world market for that very job, thats what the carbon credits are all about... Why NZ should brake its back to be green for a .01% of world omissions while the US does nothing........<shakes head>

IMO, close up needs a better host, Mark is only good enough as a reporter, cause he is definitely one eyed when it comes to politics I think Sainsbury was quite within reason to ask Key to front up to the primary question asked, which had already been answered by the other side. Key was fudging and circling for all he was worth and never got further than doing that. TBF to Key, he may not be able to answer the question accurately, but the least he could have done was qualify his answer to what may be in the books that may become apparent later, but you also need to bear in mind that he as leader of the opposition will have had a sneak preview of the budget. |

2008-05-22 11:11:00 | I thought the answer had already been given this week, $45 for those on 50k....National and JK had already thrown down the gauntlet, it was Labour who had to reply....and only did so because of the National party stance! I though it was Helen who did the dance patting herself on the back on WFF, then goes on about the health system which has only got worse under Labour?...dont understand her back patting there? I think Campbell is a better interviewer myself, Mark is a wuz!
