804677 2009-08-27 00:43:00 Will there be any student discounts for windows 7 in NZ?
Also were there any when vista came out?
If so how much do you think they would cost

804678 2009-08-27 00:49:00 No Yet can honestly answer those questions regarding pricing for W7 - Its not yet available in NZ. wainuitech (129)
804679 2009-08-27 00:51:00 There will probably be academic editions of Home Basic and Home Premium, but as Wainui pointed out we do not have any official confirmation for editions or pricing in NZ yet. inphinity (7274)
804680 2009-08-27 01:29:00 If your tertiary institution is a member of the MSDN program, Windows 7 is available. My friend has already installed it (Canterbury University). I think you need to be doing a computer science course to be eligible though. utopian201 (6245)

804682 2009-08-27 10:29:00 Also, if you don't have access to MSDNAA, lapshop.co.nz (www.lapshop.co.nz) will most likely have Win7 available for cheap to students. The Microsoft Select licensing is dirt cheap compared to even the academic products sold in retail stores. Sherman (9181)
804683 2009-08-27 12:03:00 Already got it for free thanks to MSDNAA! :D beeswax34 (63)

Never mind discounts for students.
Will there be any discount for old age pensioners?

Why would there be? Getting a pensioner hooked on their software isn't as valuable financially as getting a student hooked, who will subsequently spend the rest of their life using Microsoft products.
