| 805948 | 2009-09-01 03:15:00 | Hi everyone I have a headache to choose the right plan. I signed up with Slingshot back several years ago for $50 unlimited data a month. But they have been giving me like dial up speed long time ago. It is so slow that I have to sit in front of the computer to wait for a normal webpage to show up! I know that plan was not a good one for them as they offer unlimited data. So they have been persuading me to change to a new plan offering faster speed but very limited data. I have been checking slingshot and other providers plans but very difficult to find a right one. I am a home user. Heavy use of internet. Live in central-west Auckland. I need about 30GB a month. I have telecom phone line now. Any suggestions will be welcome. Thanks! |

You are not comparing apples with apples as the Orcon plan is Naked DSL (meaning no additional monthly telephone line rental) whereas the Slingshot plan requires the monthly telephone line rental on top. Therefore in the above example the Orcon plan would be $104.95/month whereas Slingshot would be $84.95 + $44.95 = $129.90/month |
