First our apologies for creating another thread!

Its not going! We installed our new PCI Express card.. clicked nicely in the slot, when we turn the pc back on it sounds that we get some beeps (very faint) and there is nothing displayed on the monitor!

Computer:
Asus P5KPL-AM/PS Motherboard
Graphics Card:
ATI Crossfire 3450

Were reading the manual (as suggested in the previous thread) and googling!

Anyone that can help????

805669 2009-08-31 08:13:00 3 beeps! no post, no display mark1978 (13845)
805670 2009-08-31 08:27:00 unplug the card and retry the onboard graphics then if that works try plugging it back in again and then trying it. It doesn't need power does it the card I mean? I doubt it if its just a plain standard card gary67 (56)
805671 2009-08-31 08:29:00 Acording to the website it does not need power, I will post back soon with the result mark1978 (13845)

805675 2009-08-31 09:05:00 The board you have appears to have an AMI Bios. Three short beeps tend to indicate a fault in the first 64 k RAM. This is what you had before.

While putting the new card in did you remove or dislodge RAM?
If so ( or even if not ) it may pay to remove the RAM and then change the slots you put them into in the event you have more than one stick.

805676 2009-08-31 09:12:00 we did not take out the ram when installing the card, should I take it out and put it in another slot?? i am reading online also about a fault in the 64 k ram, would it be a good idea to take out the battery and then reinstall it again?? mark1978 (13845)
