672904 2008-05-27 07:43:00 About $20 a week, but I have a work van otherwise it would be a lot more. radium (8645)
672905 2008-05-27 09:02:00 for me it varies depending on what works on.
mostly about $90 of diesel a week in the ute. however the other day i would have done that in a day.
in a busy week, up to $180-$240 in fuel.

in contrast .....from cuz overseas working on a boat..... the small toy boat hes on (used to go to shore day trips etc) they used it 4x, did 160min of boating, filled up 7x with 12,000 litres a time, at a cost of $50,000 USD. o yeah....it runs 2x 3650hp motors.

672906 2008-05-27 09:25:00 $40 for 91 for about 1 week.

Before when folks abroad, it lasted almostly exactly 4 weeks. I bus to work and back. I use it maybe 2x at the w'end, extended trips to avoid parking fines etc., and if I drink I take the bus out and back. No carpark fees either or need to find a spot. I shop food like each 3rd day that I buy for the current and the next day ... after work I walk to the food places buy my stuff and then catch the bus back home. I buy freq so its a breeze shopping that way and take the bus still in working clothes.

672907 2008-05-27 11:22:00 About $70 x 2 cars so = $140 a week. beeswax34 (63)
672908 2008-05-27 22:34:00 A 400cc bike with a 35 litre tank!!! Even my Yamaha XJ900 only had a 22 litre tank!!!

Well, I havn't seen it yet (and I don't care 'cos I'm getting it for free), but my mum's seen it, and she says "It's absolutely huge", so I don't know. Maybe he was filling it on 98, or did what my dad did a while ago and run it off avgas.

Either way, it's huge, and it's free.

672909 2008-05-27 22:44:00 I hope you have good upper body strength Geekster!! :)

And maybe some mates to help lift it off you when you drop it (especially when the tank is full)!! ;)

672910 2008-05-27 22:51:00 So true. Closest I've ever gotten to a bike that size was a 50cc minibike, and that went like the clappers, so, yeah... Bit of a learning curve... ubergeek85 (131)
672911 2008-05-28 06:34:00 I usually spend about $100 every 3 weeks on petrol, but most of that is for work & I get reimbursed for it. Greven (91)
