I kept semi-poisonous and poisonous snakes and spiders as a hobby while still in school, got bitten (mostly snakes) a few times but always recovered. Apparently this started the whole allergy thing. About oh 20 odd years ago, brought my SWMBO back from Hospital after a major op. Had a nest of bees that caused cr*p, stinging the children, thought I would burn them out. Eveything went smoothly until I felt the first sting on my back - turned out there was a hole at the back of the tree that I did not see and the whole frickin nest's bees came through it and got to me. Ran to the house, complaining about my throat closing up and SWMBO sez " You know I can't drive". We had no ambo service so I drove to town (3 km's). Ended up crashing into the wall at the GP's surgery. Got an adrenalin injection straight to the heart, as well as some CPR and some other injections. An hour later I was as good as new. Since then - even a single bee sting, pork, shellfish, non-scaled fish - same result. How the heck the body knows that this piece of fish is from a non-scaled fish I'll never know. sarel |
