| 673195 | 2008-05-27 21:24:00 | This is old news. The unemployment statistics are artificially low because a lot more people are on sickness benefits and do not show as unemployed. Usual election year journalism, I suppose. I wonder if there are any NZ doctors working in Belgium? I wonder of they would be tossers enough to whine to the Belgian press about Belgium's policies after working there for a couple of years...? |

They have a professional responsibility to give an honest and unfavoured opinion in a medico-legal situation such as the signing off of medical certificates. |

Another woman continued to work after a stroke. "They are paying taxes to sustain somebody with asthma smoking a packet of cigarettes a day. Many GPs have complained; it becomes a culture of handouts." Now there's a bloody good man and a bloody good woman. NZ needs more of those kind of people. |

For example Court Reports where the offender's occupation is given as "Sickness Beneficiary". Some of these offending "Sickness Beneficiaries" show an amazing degree of strength, fitness and agility, if the court reports are anything to go by. For example - having to be pursued for a significant distance on foot by the Police - putting up a spirited fight against the arresting officer etc etc |
