674927 2008-06-02 15:35:00 Imagine the logistics, all those cities and them having to clear the streets in some of the worlds busiest cities.

Absolute masterpiece.

674928 2008-06-02 16:44:00 In creating what the company says is the most expensive commercial advertisement ever made, reportedly at $3.9 million, Shell has also created a unique bit of television eye. And that's just for starters, the sound will blow you away as Ferrari Formula 1 cars from past to present race through the streets of London, Rio de Janeiro,Hong Kong, New York, and Sydney.

Shell began filming on February 17th in London and then moved to the other cities to complete the ad for their March worldwide television debut. Ferrari's own Formula 1 test drivers did the driving except in Sydney, where a Ferrari customer reportedly did the honors.

I wonder if anyone can name all the scenery in that ad?

I'll start the guessing with:

Coventry, England A drum brake Maserati 250F on what is most likely to be Kenilworth Road / A429, South of B4107
Rome at the Coliseum
NYC from E.164th to the Flat Iron Building on Broadway to Times Square
Sea Cliff Bridge just north of Wollongong with a 1967 Formula 1 Ferrari 312
Sidney, Australia (I get lost with the scenes here though.)
Long Beach (part of the LB Grand Prix route), just a flash though as it looks a lot like the Sidney area shots too.
Hong Kong, China.
Tokyo, Japan in that long tunnel...this is kinda just an opinion, as I am not sure they are allowed to race on ANY of the streets in Tokyo.
Rio de Janeiro at the Praia de Botafogo and a cute thing here: "The Girl From Ipanema" is portrayed as a woman in a black bikini at the Copacabana Beach in there with flash scenes of Pão de Açúcar and Morro da Urca.
Turin, Italy (The woman with the poodle is rumored to be Enzo's granddaughter in front of the black Ferrari with the alarm going off.)
In Modena, Italy, that Shell station is outside of Ferrari Ltd., .

The final/next scene in Piazzale del Colosseo-Rome leaves a lot of territory in the middle out of the ad though. I never saw Hemet, California in any of the ad.
