Theres a debate in our household as to whether Cellphones have time error correction, in tthat they auto correct if the time slips throughout the day, week, month etc.

Not that i have, but if you were to let the batteries run down for a few weeks, when the phone is recharged and connected to the Service supplier, would the displayed time auto-correct?

Thanks

674524 2008-06-01 04:57:00 I had a telecom and have a vodafone that appear to correct time. the vodafone very obviously r3eceives some kind of signal a few times a day. obvious coz it interferes with radio reception. new telecom phone (cheap model) does not appear to have time correction.

cheers

674525 2008-06-01 05:14:00 My last phone (a Samsung) had the option to contact a clock and correct itself, However it was disabled as apperently it halved the life of the battery when n use. Metla (12)

674529 2008-06-01 09:44:00 I cant find out how to get my Motorola Vodaphone to do it. I don,t think it can.

You think they would be able to do it easily say once a day would be enough for people non-rocket scientists.
