673751 2008-05-30 03:38:00 I have this set of games on two computers - a very old 486 running win98 and used for fun only and my desktop (XP).
I didn't know the games were on my desktop until I looked for them - I suppose I must have put them on years ago.
But the 486 has suddenly stopped playing the games (our young guest was quite upset!).
I was surprised to find I could only get copies if I paid for them - I thought they were free. I also tried reinstalling Windows on the 486 but the choice to accept or not accept the legal conditions were both greyed out!!
Copying the games from my computer to the 486 did nothing. Still would not work. A downloaded compressed trial also would not work. Anyway again I thought it was a free program. Anybody know how I can get the thing up again and running.
I would also put it on my laptop to help keep the piece - if I knew how.

They probably came free on a MS sample CD that they used to give away with software bundles like encarta. They don't seem to give this software away anymore.

673753 2008-05-30 04:37:00 Assuming the laptop is running Windows 3.1x, you can put the pack on XP
(not sure about Vista).

You can probably download floppy images from somewhere (then use WinImage to extract the installation files). There were 5 versions (on 5 different floppies) IIRC.

Now that rings a bell. But blowed if I know where the disk is. Probably dumped years ago.
